The first ever Churros Garcia stall, brought over from Alicante, Spain, opens in the UK on Petticoat Lane! In the photo is Lesley's father, brother and grandmother.
First generation churrera, Encarnacion Garcia Fuenteseca, started her churros business and taught her daughter, Lesley, the flamenco nearly 50 years ago.

2004
The first modern Churros Garcia stall opens. Our portable van visits some of the most exciting festivals in the UK, spreading the churros love far and wide.
Churros Garcia are finalists at the British Street Food Awards. Lesley is pictured with Mark Hix, Antony Worral Thompson, Richard Johnson & Thomasina Miers.

The traditional hand-mixing method and secret family recipe are still used today. Churro mummy/matriach still checks up to ensure the right method is passed on!
Churros Garcia completes 15 years of serving the best churros to festivals all over the UK, with 10 years also spent at the famous Portobello Road market!

Churros is a favourite in every community, celebrated as a finalist in the Halal Awards 2017.
The baton is passed on, with the third generation keeping the business going. Henry Filepe now steers the helm, ensuring the UK public get their churros fix!
